National ace for Carlsberg golf tournament

KUALA LUMPUR: Local professional golfer Danny Chia will be among 5,000 who will compete in the 20th anniversary Carlsberg Golf Classic (CGC).

Touted as Malaysia’s golfing number 1, Chia will be the ambassador of CGC 2013 and will also make a special appearance during the qualifying rounds.
Carlsberg Malaysia managing director Soren Ravn said the brewery is proud to have Chia as the ambassador as he reflects their principles of integrity and discipline.
“Carlsberg has been committed in supporting the Malaysian golfing industry and talent such as professional golfer like Danny where integrity and discipline are integral characteristics of success.
“Likewise, Carlsberg upholds its integrity and discipline in consistently delivering high quality products to its consumers,” said Ravn.
Golfers will be competing in 40 legs at 40 exclusive courses nationwide over a period of six months.
Among the prizes up for grabs are ATG watches, an Ogawa massage chair, a Mercedes Benz C200 CGI, and a golf package for two to watch the US Masters 2014.
