Talking about truly Malaysian made, The Phil is one of the oldest and most established music societies in the country.

Founded way back in 1958, it has grown to become an establishment that symbolizes commitment, quality, and a great sense of society. Amongst the aims of The Phil is to encourage and promote performing arts in Malaysia, and to provide aid to charitable organization.

The Choir of the Philharmonic Society of Selangor will join hands this Christmas season with Bangsar Shopping Centre to create more awareness and to raise funds for the following charities: Society for the Severely Mentally Handicapped (SSMH), Persatuan SLE Malaysia, Light A Home Project and Assunta Palliative Care Centre (AsPaCC).

And to strengthen this sense of oneness through music and love, the choir is encouraging everyone to be part of their sing-a-long sessions as they perform traditional and contemporary Christmas songs. There is, of course, nothing more exciting than getting together in the name of kindness and love as Christmas approaches.Join The Phil on Saturday, Dec 15 at 3pm and 4.30pm, and on Sunday Dec 16, also at 3pm and 4.30pm at the Concourse of Bangsar Shopping Centre. Also on Saturday, The Phil will be presenting donations to the charities, and everyone is welcome to show their support.

This is a great way to sing some Christmas carols as a community, and to definitely add a smile to many faces. Don’t miss this fun and meaningful event. It’ll be a great idea for a family outing too! And imagine the shopping mall resonating as everyone sings along and adds some Christmas cheer to the air!
